"Reasons, Seasons and Private People"

Left with reasons and with seasons
of each not-quite-lifelong friend.
These things are simply not intended
to endure - and so they end.

My parents won't tell me about
anything. They like their "privacy" -
and yet, they must object as soon as
I request the same for me.

I've had the reasons and the seasons,
and I've had them up to here.
Is anybody genuine?
I need to make it clear:

No more reasons, seasons -
"private people".
Just be honest from the start,
if you really don't give a damn.
Stop messing with my head and heart.
